Connecting OB to control cables

I have a 98 Johnson 9.9 2 stroke in the motor well of my Catalina 27 that I want to connect to my shift/throttle controller. I think it's Morse, it looks original or at least very old, and seems to be in good condition. There was an older Johnson in the boat and the newer one replaced it before I bought the boat.

I can't find the brackets or links needed to convert. I have seen parts on Ebay that may work but I can't find any store online that lists parts. I want to get the right parts the first time.

Any ideas?

I got mine for the 15hp 2 stroke Johnson at the Anchor Marine in Reseda Ca. He had to order the parts. He needed the model number.

Have you checked with a/several Johnson dealers? Giving them your model and serial number should give you a good start in finding the part numbers. Even if they can't source the parts, you may get the info you need to find the right parts on the used market.
