Cleaning Yanmar 2gm Fuel Injectors

I am trying to clean my fuel injectors due to low rpm..only 2200 in gear or out. Tried the exhause route..new mixing elbow and muffler (ps boy was THAT a bear). Has anyone ever actually pulled the injectors to clean them.My boat is 1981 version, and I cant get them out. Special tool or secret knowledge??thanksSerendipity, JAX, FL

Here is what you can do, 1st spray som pb blaster arould the injectors, wait about thirty mins, loosen the brackets that hold the injectors in the head. ONLY LOOSEN THE NUTS ABOUT A QUARTER OF AN INCH!Then turn the motor over with the fuel shutoff pulled (so the motor will not start) the compression of the motor will free up the injectors. If this doesent work call a pro!
