CDI furler for 26m not furling

On the boat I just bought the furler line keeps getting caught as the roller part doesn't stay seated in the housing. See image. Any suggestions on how to get it working?

Just found the set up video. Got a boat with no manuals and am struggling for some--like the e-tec 60 maintenance manual...

The weight of the sail and the foil should keep the drum together. Check the CDI website and have a look at how it should go together. The picture doesn't really suggest what the issue might be, but it's likely something simple.
