This is kind of trivial but it bothers me to waste money. I ordered two of these decals and the first one stuck to the paper backing pretty much ruining the decal. I had to scrape the paper backing off each letter and then kind of piece the whole thing together. It looks pretty bad.

I replaced the boat registration numbers and boat name with decals from another vendor and they came out great.

Anyone have any experience with these decals and any tips for preventing the paper from sticking to the letters before I attempt the second one?

If they are real decals you need to soak in water with a bit of dish soap. Then soapy water on the hull. Call CD and get install instructions and tell them about your experience. Maybe the will give you a replacement

I applied mine with no issues. I didn't have to soak them either. Call CD. Maybe you had an old, dry batch.
