As a new sailor and Catalina owner, I am wondering if anyone has a list or knows where I can find recommendations for lengths and sizes of line, sheets, and halyards for a 2001 Catalina 320.

Thanks

If you have the manual, that information is likely to be in there. At least it is in my manual for my 1996 Catalina 28mkii. Otherwise, just contact Catalina.

You could use Running Rigging Calculator on this site for lengths and sizes

Thanks. I take possession in Palm Beach next week. The manual may be among the paperwork inside the vessel. I remember seeing a stack of it when I attended the survey. Wanted to bring rope with me when I travel down. The topping lift was of particular concern. I've looked at the estimator on the forum and it is a good reference for gauge, but I am unclear of the length. I suppose I can use the mast height, figure the length of the hypotenuse, and add some feet for securing to the cleat.

I found a manual, as Siamese suggested, on-line. It does list the rigging specifications. Thanks.

Jared.. Halyards are easy. Height of the mast times 2 plus 5 feet and you are really close to the length of the halyard at the mast. If you are running them to the cockpit, add the distance from the mast base to the cockpit.
If your Catalina is a fractional rig, lay a tape measure along the length of the foresail’s luff. Multiply this length by 2 and add 3 feet. You now have 2 halyard lengths. If you have a Spinnaker, then use the jib or the main halyard length depending if the spinnaker goes to the mast head or is fractional.
This all pretty simply stuff. Tape measure and or the mast height, or the sail luff, plus distance to cockpit if that is where your halyards terminate.

Jarod, you are going to love that boat. I always considered the 320 a larger version of the C-270
I had in the past. Have fun!!
