Cal 2-24 winches

I have a Cal 2-24 that I purchesed recently. One of the jib winches needs new pawl springs. I cannot find a brand name on the winch...It appears to be original. It is the old brass model with the winch handle that slides into slots on the top ring. Does anyone know who supplied winches to Cal and where can I get new springs? Thanks Barry

beautiful but...

had those type winches on a MacGregor, beautiful brass needle bearings and all. But kind of a pain to use, how about upgrading to something more modern?

Tell Me About Cal 2-24

I have the ability to pick up one of these boats cheap, but I don't know anything about them. Can you give me any information?
