Cabin storage covers replacement/ideas

Hello, I /have a '91 Mac 26s and the orignal plywood veneer (?) storage covers are all on their way out.

I was wondering what others have done to replace? I believe I saw a post somewhere on the interweb that the owner had replaced them with something bought at Home Depot for short $$. Maybe they were talking about tongue &groove vinyl flooring? Looking for a inexpensive alternative/ideas... thanks

I took 3/4" birch plywood that I had and traced them out and cut to the same size as the originals. I then took a router and dato'd out 1/4" all the way around on the bottom so it would recess into the hole. Smoothed all the edges and coated with spar varnish. Several coats sanded in between. The wood that was removed in the bottom allows the cover to stay in place. The originals would slide out. Usually when you didn't want it to. Works great.
