Cabin Fever

I know cabin fever - I live south of Annapolis / southeast of Washington, D.C. I assume you have heard about our near record breaking snow from the weekend. I'm still trying to dig out and going to the boat to check on her is next to impossible even though she is only about 3 miles away. Between the snow and cold (ice in the harbor) I guess I won't be doing much more 're-power' work for a while. I can't even get there to measure the length of hose I need or to check out the thru hull that I need to replace. I HATE winter....
Amen brother. 6-10 inches tomorrow at 1-2 inches/hour at some point. Not even a flurry compared to what you guys got, plus we are better equipped to handle it. We had a whole group from France in for an all day meeting today. The poor bastards are supposed to fly home in the morning but are flying Boston to NY and then to France. I wish them luck. The storm is moving fast and is now slated to start in the morning when 8 hours earlier they were saying a 6pm start around here.
Maybe you can take advantage of the snow. You can build a ramp of snow inside your boat and just slide the engine over to the companionway ;-)

I like that idea - a snow ramp!!! I asked 2 of my dive buddies yesterday if they would put on their drysuits and go in the water to do the thru hull (I don't own a drysuit). They didn't like that idea. I guess the ice would make it hard to get low enough in the water.....
