Does anybody know things I should look for during the survey? Does Anybody have a survey sheet? I currently have a 1987 31 have owned it since new. Yes it's for sale. Great boat lot's of up grades great racer & Cruiser
Do you know anyone who can share an old survey with you? My marine survey seemed complete at the time, pictures of the problems, lots of detail. Now that I know a lot more about the boat I know what I would have included as a marine surveyor. You could read some of the surveys at www.yachtsurvey.com.
I got one early this year. Have surveyor look at deck delamination, fittings associated with rudder, shaft, cutlass strut. Check for sponginess in deck in head. It's a beamy boat...lotsa freeboard and therefore sail area when parking it. Sails great in light air. Huge boom.
