hello alll…….
this site has been incredibly helpful to me and made me realise there is a mountain of knowledge out there … so here i go again!!!
2002 Beneteau oceanis 393 clipper… was wondering if anyone has any info on bow thruster installation and what type…. vetus requires a hole through the hull but i have seen external types are also available which make installation much simpler … but how do they perform in real life??
my main query is… there is a head / bathroom directly behind the windlass locker and the floor of the forward cabin behind the head has a double skin which prevents a simple through the bottom of the hull fixing of an external type…. is it ok to bolt one into the windlass locker … or …. where is the best place to fit one… and all of the stuff ???? like batteries etc…. which i presume is best kept close to the thruster ….
Never done this before so was hoping there may be someone out there with the same 3 cabin 2 head layout 393 that has had one fitted successfully….
any info would be appreciated….
cheers…
