While sitting on a mooring for a week my 311 Beneteau boom came out of the cast aluminum fitting at the gooseneck leaving the reefing lines in the boom and mainsail foot supporting the forward end of the boom instead of the gooseneck fitting. There are no rivets or set screw to prevent the boom from backing off the fitting. Has anyone out there dealt with this situation, putting it back together alone rocking in boat wakes was not one of boatings finer pleasures.
