setting the record straight
Simmer down Bill! The fact is, I spoke(wrote to) with several people about big beds, all very similar to your's. Who made the first one? Who cares! I liked the basic idea and went to build one for myself. When it came to fabricating the hangers, I was disturbed about using metal hangers that might damage the existing teak trim boards (that hold in the cushions). I also didn't like that the boards could be slid along the "rails" possible by accident or hastely installed and then the bed not supported properly (which could be disastrous). I came up with a different approach(READ: MY IDEA BUT WILLING TO EXCEPT SOMEONE ELSE MIGHT HAVE THOUGHT OF IT FIRST), and it was different enough from yours and others, that I have presumed to take credit. I'm not trying to steal a copy right here and I'm not "into" taking credit per say so I hereby give you the credit if that will make you happy. I just wanted to offer my fellow Hunter sailors what I believe is a better way to build a bed. Just offering a better mouse trap if you catch my drift. Nobody is paying me for the design, it (the design and the article)was offered to my fellow Hunter sailors for free.Don Bodemann
