I recently noticed a leak coming from the 90 degree elbow fitting that attaches the blue plastic plumbing line to my forward fresh water tank. It appears to be some sort of press on fitting. I have been unable to figure how to detach it from the tank or the blue plastic plumbing line in order to try to figure out how to stop the drip or replace the fitting. Does anyone knowhar brand or type of fittings these are? How do I poen or detach the fitting from what I presume is a nipple fitting on the tank? Thanks, Bob

It's a whale of a fitting :{

Seating the rigid plastic tube in the whale fitting requires that the end of the tube be clean and square cut - then insert into the fitting until you feel the second click - it's seated. The remove slide the grey ring on the fitting, the tube will come right out. The link is a pdf file from Whale that shows this procedure

It's a Whale of a fitting

Just had the same problem. Took the fitting apart. Not as simple as it sounds because you have to compress and hold the inner collet into the fitting to remove the tubing. The tubing was greasy and had some diesel residue on it that had also worked it's way into the fitting. I cleaned the tubing and fitting and cut a new end on the tubing. This did not help and the water preasure would push the old tubing out just enough that a leak reappeared. I obtained a section of new tubing and that did the trick. s/v Kokomo
