I have a Beneteau First 32S5. All good until last night. I have 30 Amp shore power onto the boat. Power was hooked up and on. Batteries in the morning were dead. Light on the battery power is 11 RED and 12 Green but no power. I turned on the engine power and the fuel meter came up very slowly. The batter charger is a Sentry G120-3NL. Red light is on the charger. Voltage reads 0. Switches are all where they have been since I bought the boat. Nothing will turn on even though shore power is hooked up and there is power. Does everything run through the batteries in line? Shore power- charger-batteries- utilities? Battery and main power are on the on position.

Any ideas what may have gone wrong?

Gino,

Any idea how old the charger is? We had a similar problem and the charger went bad. Not sure if the lights were the same as yours, but we bought a new charger about 8 years ago along with a couple AGM batteries and no problems since. It was easy to put in myself (with the power off of course!)

You mention shore power was connected. But did you actually have 110 and the outlets? This could also be a 110 issue not just charger I occasionally (by accident) turn off the charger at the 110 panel

Also did you turn off the engine battery switch the night before?

If 110 is working and charger is on you should be able to measure current. If not then it is the charger. FYI also check manual to see if there is an internal fuse in the charger.

Without more info on measured voltages at the batteries, charger and switch connections, this is a wild guess contest. Need much more info if you want helpful responses
