Any info on the cal 3-30?

I am looking at a cal 3-30 that is in good condition. It has a somewhat new diesel inboard, good sails and is perfect for my family weekend travels to the channel islands. Is there anything i should know about this boat that i should look for when inspecting it? Is $5,000 a good deal? I loved my last cal25, but it's presently at the bottom of the pacific. Thanks a lot for the help.

Cal 3-30

The Cal 3-30 is a great sailing boat and well built. Check the wood spreaders for any signs of rot. Check the galvanized I beam mast support for corrosion. You can seal the I beam with Por-15 to prevent corrosion... Easy access through the bilge. $5000 is a good deal for this boat. Some sold new for close to 40K.
