Hi, all.

I'm the proud new owner (as of yesterday) of a 1982 9.2A. She is in great shape overall, had a good survey and engine inspection, and I negotiated a good deal. I do have one request for other owners. The nav station folding seat is missing. I have the fold out support and piano hinge on the engine cover/stairs. Would someone very kindly post a picture of what this looks like open and stowed?

Thanks very much.

I will try to take pics today, but all the you are missing is a piece of plywood that is about 17" X 17" X 3/4" that is covered with foam and apholstry (sic?) and a piece of wood that folds down (support leg when propped up)

This is by far the worst thought out design I have ever seen.. It can not be used...

You can't gain entry to the area when the seat is up and you can't squeeze in and raise the seat when you are there...

That Nav station is useless...

I read the post above that suggest cutting the small bullhead down flush with the settee so you can sit on the end of the settee facing aft..
That is a better design...

Oh, hang on.. Cutting that bullhead will mean w will have to figure out a different way to support the Nav table... Hmmm

Thanks for your feedback

Thanks for your reply. That may explain why the previous owner removed it in the first place :)

I'm wondering how practical this nav station is. Maybe the best option is to use the station standing up or just use the dining table. The nav table seems too small for using charts anyway.

Regardless, thanks again. I'm a new owner with the boat on the hard in the yacht yard. Can't wait to get it out onto the lake.

I never sit at the Nav station.. In liveaboard and single so when planning routes, and I'm not able to sit outside I will open up the port settee into the sleeping configuration and spread out the charts... I will use my laptop to create the route for my chart plotter..

The only thing I have at the Nav station is the electrical panel and gadges and storage for charting tools.

I'm considering chopping off the bulkheads settee level and filling in area so the settee goes all the way into the quart berth

Look around

It stows just tucked in under the storage area. It may be there!
