S2 8.6 White Lake
I'm in the market for an S2 in this size range and would like to know what the difference is between the 8.5 and 8.6.

Other than the year of manufacture, none. 8.5. Was built through 1982 or 83. 8.6 was built in 83 and later. But both have the same hull and rigging. Interior layout may also be different, but that might change even in the same model.

Hi

Regarding differences.

Sailboatdata.com is saying the 8.6 is a Fractional Rig. The 8.5 comes up as a MastHead.

I'd like to know if this is correct.
