We have 2012- 37' purchased in late 2011. When connected to shore power the batteries don't charge overnight. My tech advisor says we need a bigger battery charger - 40 amp v. 20 amp. I thought we had an inverter-charger. Has anyone had this issue?

As I said it seems a bit light. I assume you have 2- 4D's or 1 8D plus a 24 or 27 starting battery?

My 38 had a 40 as does my 42. There is a formula for charger size. I know the West Marine Advisor has it in their catalog. Probably find one online as well

We have six golf cart batteries. Had a 50 amp inverter charger, never got above 30+ amps but we don't let the batteries get below 50%. Now have a 30 amp charger, sometimes charger did not get to float status in 12 hours. Went to Solar panels, now batts don't get below 80+% fully charged by early afternoon in Florida sun.

Forget about the size for a moment. Does the charger "side" of the I/C work? Have you measured the battery voltage when charging? How have you determined that the batteries aren't "charged" overnight? Perhaps a bit more input would help us to help you.
