29.5 table to bed
I have a 1996 29.5. On my model, there is a stainless steel set screw/bolt with a large-ish handle under the table on the pole that you twist to tighten or loosen for table height adjustment. The handle is on the starboard side of the pole, and there is a nut on the port side of the pole that is soldered on. The set screw/bolt can come all the way off so its possible that the previous owner did that, lost it and replaced it with something other than what came out of the factory. Maybe you can call the Hunter parts department and order a new one. To adjust the table down, you need to loosen the set screw/bolt and push on the side of the table closest to the pole. You should have on the forward side of the pole a line which is affixed to the table and runs up the exterior of the pole into a hole in the top of the pole. There is a counter-weight inside of the pole. It takes some physical effort to lower and raise my table. Instead of legs, there should be small teak ledges affixed to the exterior of the storage lockers a few inches below the cushions. When lowered all the way down, the table rest on those support edges. When the cushion is placed on the table top, it will be flush with the seat cushions. Good luck, and so you don't think you are alone, I had the same question when I bought my boat.
