There are no stupid questions... Only stupid people. My husband & I have looked at the table in our boat nines ways to Sunday & cannot figure out how to drop the table to make a bed. The table has no release of any kind. We assume we are going to have to remove screws (That doesn't seem reasonable), but which ones?! Also, there are no "legs" on the table. We just assumed this would be in our manual, but no - 15 pages on mast adjustment but no clue as to the table. Help?

29.5 table to bed

I have a 1996 29.5. On my model, there is a stainless steel set screw/bolt with a large-ish handle under the table on the pole that you twist to tighten or loosen for table height adjustment. The handle is on the starboard side of the pole, and there is a nut on the port side of the pole that is soldered on. The set screw/bolt can come all the way off so its possible that the previous owner did that, lost it and replaced it with something other than what came out of the factory. Maybe you can call the Hunter parts department and order a new one. To adjust the table down, you need to loosen the set screw/bolt and push on the side of the table closest to the pole. You should have on the forward side of the pole a line which is affixed to the table and runs up the exterior of the pole into a hole in the top of the pole. There is a counter-weight inside of the pole. It takes some physical effort to lower and raise my table. Instead of legs, there should be small teak ledges affixed to the exterior of the storage lockers a few inches below the cushions. When lowered all the way down, the table rest on those support edges. When the cushion is placed on the table top, it will be flush with the seat cushions. Good luck, and so you don't think you are alone, I had the same question when I bought my boat.

Factory installed option

according to the dealer that I bought from. The post inside the cabin and the table are different. I don't think all the 29.5s had the drop table installed. There's got to be a way to make it work though. Let us know what happens

Oh Virginia

Where did that boat come from? GFLYC? I think I know the boat, and I think it's the one without the dropping table. Email me through the owner's log and I'll tell you what I think I know (which may not be that much!) PS Ouachita or DeGray
