Good evening all. I've had "add additional hand holds" on my to do list for awhile and decided to replace my "nautical" hand holds with commercial shower SS hand holds. I added two 42" hand holds on deck and one 42" and one 18" in the cabin.
The 42" cabin hand hold uses the same holes as the one on deck-port side. While the 18" cabin hand hold uses the aft set of holes as the deck-stbd side. I added a separate backing plate for both hand holds on the stbd side and those on deck are set on 1" blocks to keep my skin on the back of my hand I recently "painted" part of my deck using KiwiGrip...but that's another post.
One advantage I see is that I can slide my hand as I move forward/aft without releasing my grip.
I may add two additional 16"(?) hand holds to the sea hood, which would allow me to hold on as I work forward. I need to check the clearance between the sliding hatch and the sea hood. Steve
