We are about to launch our "New to Us" 1974 Fraser 42 Center Cockpit and I am trying to garner information about her origins. I know she is one of 8 hulls built as the Fraser 42 by the DeKleer Bros and that before those 8 were molded, there were 2 original hulls called Vancouver 42. Those belonging to the two designers Doug Cook and Gene Rufer. The Dekleer Bros then modified the mold to become the Fraser 41, a rear cockpit design of which there were 87 built.
That is pretty much the sum total of my data.
My greatest hope would be to find a set of specifications of some sort......
I know, not much chance of that but if there is anybody out there that might have information of any kind, it would be appreciated.
We have just re stepped and for the most part re built the mast. We also pulled all the tanks, ran new plumbing and modernized those systems enough to be allowed in a marina.
So now we will start the labor of love called restoration.
Any information will greatly assist us in that.
