120v/12v line mixing

Most production boats, including Hunter, run power lines thru shared conduit kinda scronched together...can't be good...and these conduits aka pvc pipes can't be inspected...what should the prudent bost owner do not only for protection, but to be sure the appliances at the endof the line(s) run properly?

What Problem?

Ther is no need to do anything unless there is a problem as all the wires have their own insulation blankets. However, if the chaf together and start arching then you have a problem. A few extra wire ties here and there wouldn't hurt.

I agree that the separation of AC and DC conductors is good practice. However, I would not worry about this installation because all the conductors are covered and sheathed. There are no connections out of sight to worry about and as long as all conductors are properly fused you will be safe. I am confident the electrical system is well designed for the boat as built. The challenge is the addition of new loads on the existing system. I would get a battery monitor and be careful when adding new gear. Best, Trevor
