    Baby stays Hunter 23

Thanks for the picture. I have actually been considering such a setup. It looks pretty easy. The only thing to figure out is the attachment at the bottom of the tubing. I have some tubing laying around that I could use. Thanks for sending.

    Baby stays Hunter 23

Dave: I am very aware that the boat did not come with a mast raising system. What I am asking for is advice regarding how to attach baby stays. Some brands of boats have an attachment point that is near the pivot point for the mast....the H23 does not. So, something needs to be rigged...that is...

    Baby stays Hunter 23

Over the past several years I have slowly perfected my mast raising system. The last thing to do is to rig baby stays to keep the mast from swaying until the shrouds tighten. Can anyone send me a description or pictures of baby stay installation on your Hunter 23?? I know that the attachment...

    Halyard Organizer/Mast Plate

Thanks for reaching out. What I finally did was to reorder the mast plate from Garhauer. I then drilled the bottom of the new plate so that the holes in mast hinge would line up with the holes in the mast plate. I then used the original screws to set the hinge and the plate onto the deck. In...

    Acrylic slider over companionway

I'm betting that this topic has been discussed before but my search has not turned anything up that is specific to my Hunter 23. In short, my acrylic slider has cracked and I am wondering what others have done with this issue. The Hunter store wants over $325 to purchase new plus $125 in...

    Hunter 23 Bimini

The Bimini came from American Marine Canvas. www.ameriseam.com. They have really good prices. This was sunbrella over an aluminum frame and cost was $350 including tax and shipping. Get one that is 64 inches long.

    Hunter 23 Bimini

There is plenty of room. You might have to move the bail foir your mainsheet forward about 6" but that is not a problem.

    Storage under H23 gas tank

Thanks, Peter....don't really need the space but I am surprised that Hunter didn't provide for a way to access the space other than crawling down into the port lazarette.

    Storage under H23 gas tank

I I had a Catalina 22 that had access to that space under the floor of the fuel locker. Probably doable but would be nice to learn from others. Maybe someone will have ideas.

    Storage under H23 gas tank

All Hunter 23 owners will know that there is considerable storage space under the cockpit sole. A portion of that space extends across the beam under the gas can locker. This space is almost impossible to use unless you actually crawl into the port side access locker. Has anyone figured out a...
