I've got a Kanzaki-Carl Hurth tranny model KBW10E on my Yanmar 3HM35F with what appears to be worn clutch discs. Reverse is fine, but very little shaft rotation in forward gear.
A search for the clutch friction discs (part # 177090-03080, 8 needed) shows they're made of almost pure unobtainium...
I'm hooking up a new WEMA water level gauge sending unit on the tank. It appears there's no wrong way to connect the wires, as the dial jumps up when either of the wiring possibilities is temporarily connected up.
Anyone know if I'll be sorry if I connect the black to the red or the yellow?
Wifey made me clean the hull on our last trip down to Mexico. While taking a 5 inch putty knife to a couple of lightly encrusted areas, suddenly my skin began tingling uncomfortably.
I swam to the stern, climbed up the ladder and rinsed off with some fresh water. A bit later a reddish welt or...
It seems that posted YouTube videos appear as black rectangles without the ability to play. Up-to-date OS according to settings, but it is a pretty old iPad2.

No dry flushes until I pay them $29.00 plus shipping for a new part.
Upsides: thank goodness Raritan doesn't use proprietary threads on this, and no leaks!
Without too much fuss, either!
I asked her to unscrew the wind instrument at its base and send it down to me for a rehab. A brief problem on re-installation (bent pins), sent it back down for straightening of said pins, then a more careful hook-up.
A bit of calibration, and we're back in business.
I've a stanchion-mount block on the pulpit that routes the furler control line. From the photos, you may be able to see that the line doesn't ride on the sheave.
What I'd like to put here is a fairlead of this type, but with the ability to overcome the pulpit's control of the AOA of the...
My poor wife cannot stop complaining about the neighboring boat's AC seawater pump's constant flow.
A babbling brook, albeit a constant brook. The ambient temperature is fabulous, but the boat still requires a cooler temp.
I can't wait to find out the effects of her complaints tomorrow. LOL
Just as I'm starting to look at the technology to annoy my dock mates and anchorages...
