Hunter 37 cutter Mast Rake and Prebend

Hunter 37 cutter owners, how much prebend and rake do you run....Yes its a very stiff mast :) Got an older mainsail, looks very full, but mast is straight, and no prebend, the mast is all the way forward at the collar, so planning on raking back, then inducing some prebend with lower...

Good advice John, I saw there was a little eye strap in the middle of the boom for the sheet, I thought would be problematic, I'm super excited about my H37c, one of the last ones made, such a great upgrade from my 1981 Hunter 30. Hoping to post all the upgrades I did this winter, AC...

Hunter 30 Mast Rake and Mast prebend

JC - thanks for your reply. Quick question... do you think it makes a big difference with different sizes genoas 120 vs 150? Most of the added sail is behind the mast, and I have read a lot about matching your rake to boat handling, or weather helm. On Hobies we adjusted our rudders forward...

    battery selection

Malyea - when I bought the boat this fall, batteries were identical to yours, under the port rear birth with straps and no cases. I bought cases for the two group 29's I am putting in that space. The group 24 starter battery I am moving to behind the engine, just in front of the diesel tank...

Hunter 30 Mast Rake and Mast prebend

Makes a big difference if the mast should be tuned in column, or with some prebend. I think I will contact Chip at Hyde sails, see what their computer assumes that the mast profiile will be when he designs the sails. I'm likely going to order sails thru Hyde at this point. Paul

Hunter 30 Mast Rake and Mast prebend

Hi - going to be replacing Fore and Aft stays, and setting mast prebend and rake. Not finding much info so far. I think it's a Kenyon mast, they're out of business. I think I need a bit of prebend to flatten the sail and match the cut made for the main with some prebend. Saw some article...

    Replacing Mainsheet Traveler

Ordered a MT2 ct yesterday with garhauer. The rise of track is only 5/8 " at center, so a curved track this slight should perform well. And will just bolt into place. Thanks all for advice. Is there also aluminum plate at rear of cabin top where brakes and cleats are? I will be doing...
