    H23.5 Centerboard Pin Bearing Replacement

Took my Centerboard off to replace the uphaul line and noticed the pin bearing was quite worn. See pics. Even the hole in the fiberglass is enlarged over 1" (factory dimension) by like an 1/8". I'm thinking of replacing the plastic bearing with a bronze bearing on each side of the centerboard...

    H23.5 Centerboard Bracket Bolt Stuck

Turned out I had one bad thread on the retaining bolt, see photo. Luckily I was able to get it out using this method: 1) spraying penetrating oil under the head of the bolt and letting it sit overnight. 2) rapping head of bolt with larger hammer 15 times. Applying more penetrating oil. 3) using...

    H23.5 Centerboard Bracket Bolt Stuck

Sure seems like an ugly situation. I can't see a 3/4" thread bolt bending. Might have to gently take an impact gun to it. Just would like to know if others have had a hard time cracking it loose.

    H23.5 Centerboard Bracket Bolt Stuck

Need to replace the Centerboard up haul line and I can not get the large bolt that holds the Centerboard Bracket in place. This is the one in the cabin next to the mast compression pole. Using a 14" breaker bar and it only moves like 15 degrees and then freezes up as if I were tightening it...

When to rebuild rudder assembly? H 23.5

I'd suggest checking for slop where the tiller is bolted to the rudder head. The tiller thru holes often oval out causing a lot of slop.

    Plastic Welding 140/170 ACP cracks?

The material is most often quoted as Luran S which was a brand name for ASA generic plastic. ASA is available on Amazon in welding rods. I'd buy a real plastic welder to try this. Just wondering if others have done it.

    Plastic Welding 140/170 ACP cracks?

Has anyone fixed their cracks in plastic hulled (ACP/ASA) 140/170/other boats using as plastic welder? I'd like to try that instead of filling the cracks with Plexus and painting them. I would also like to find replacement ASA plastic sheet to replace the large cockpit sections which have...

    Trailer Extension Problem

Yes, I guess I could have a 45 degree guide welded on to the U channel to ramp the extension up into place. Or cut a small 45 degree chamfer onto the bottom of the extension. Just wondering if other Hunter trailer owners have had the same issue and what has worked best.

    Trailer Extension Problem

My 1994 H23.5 trailer extension will not retract fully (the last 2 inches). It interferes with the U-channel bracket it is supposed to rest on. See video/photo album link below. Does anyone else have this problem...
