    Beneteau 41.1 O - AC / Heater winterize

All - new to the Beneteau family (2018 41.1 Oceanis) and having an issue with final item in winterizing, the AC unit. On my previous boat, Catalina 310, I was able to follow this video from SeaFlush () but this doesn’t seem to work on the new boat. A couple of assumptions that I am making...

    Water in Engine Pan?

Personally I would do the St Lawrence River. Would love to experience the massive tide change, as well as see some pristine portions of the Americas.

    Water in Engine Pan?

I think that could be part of issue. I noticed a few drops of water catchment area below where transmission / shaft join when I went to check transmission fluid. What’s the fix associated with this?

    Water in Engine Pan?

H2O in FCB. Never removed engine oil pan. And oil as dark, not murky or other discoloration that would show other liquids had gotten into engine oil pan. Sorry all the communication issues.

    Water in Engine Pan?

No - small amount of water in pan below the engine - the engine is in one piece. I pulled the dipstick and it shows black rom the new oil.

    Water in Engine Pan?

A neighbor on my pier suggested the same - how hard / expensive of a job? I’m selling boat and want to advise future owner. (Was not picked up on survey).

    Water in Engine Pan?

I just took the boat to a local marina to fuel up and noticed two things - some white smoke from exhaust area and a couple of tablespoons of water in engine pan. I am due for replacement of impeller (every other year) and am wondering if this might be the issue or if I need to be looking...

Starting issue post fuel filters change

Thanks again to all for the insight. A longer hold for the lift pump solved the issue.

Starting issue post fuel filters change

Laziness on my part - half a tank of diesel. I’ll open an injector and fill tank.

Starting issue post fuel filters change

Not a typo - fuel dock at Marina is down and I just ran engine for 10 hours getting it back from Lewes DE to Baltimore.

Starting issue post fuel filters change

Just did my end of season fuel filters change and am having an issue starting engine. (Universal M25XPB). The engine turns but doesn’t kick on. I’ve triple checked that everything is on tight and that the fuel lines are open. The fuel lift pump is new this season, so that should not be an...

    Sailboat agreement with dealer

From what the dealer mentioned, it’s going to be available for them to show potential buyers, nothing regarding taking it away from the slip or starting the engine. What’s the cockpit like, headroom in berths, etc. I’m thinking that it’s probably worth reduction in their margin to have the...

That’s what I’m thinking - hopefully they’ll go for it. Thanks Ralph.

    Sailboat agreement with dealer

It would allow them to take potential buyers for the next sale onto the boat. It’s a brand new model so nothing else to demo. I could ask for a residual on sales, but I don’t think that they would agree on those terms. :)

    Sailboat agreement with dealer

I’m not sure if this is the best place to post, but since the folks on here seem to know everything when I ask…. I’m thinking of moving up to a larger new boat (38ft) and my local dealer advised that if I kept the boat in their area (Annapolis - I’m in Baltimore) they would work something out...
