Propane heater installation - fuel system

I’m looking for fuel system advice, re installing a Dickson wall mount heater in my ‘91 Hunter 30T. The heater is now mounted on the starboard wall/bulkhead between the V berth and the kitchen table, with a 12v wired propane alarm at the floor below it, and chimney ready to fire. The best place...

    Adjust throttle 1991 hunter 30t

My '91 30T has an Edson. I'd say stop using it 'till you get this resolved. That much force is a recipe for busting something... Edson are marvelous with their customer service. They will recommend you get their service kit for the steering mechanism which is a must do if it's been a while...

Hi there, Anybody have actual experience with using Coronado Polyurethane Enamel, or an equivalent product, on their boat? It's a standard "oil" paint for metal. Comes in gloss or semigloss. Numerous folks have suggested it as a good coating for fiberglass. "Coronado Rust Scat® Polyurethane...

    Deck wash

One of the various kits available will meet your needs, but if you'd like so save a few sheckles, Cruising World had an article on building your own washdown pump over the winter. Sorry can't find it online with a quick search but dig around and I'm sure you'll find it.

Deck core and chain plate repair

More expert opinions no doubt exist, but with that caveat... One would presume reducing tension on your running rigging will be required for this repair, and that should also reduce horizontal pressure on the top deck where the repair is being undertaken. In addition, ensuring the cradle is...

Running Rigging table, 1991 Hunter 30T, tall mast

Q1: Suggestions re. where to find the above? If "tall mast" was an original purchase option, I've got one... Realize this may be in my manual, but alas don't have easy access to it at moment, so hoping someone can point me to one online. Tried the Hunter site but they don't post a manual for...

    Lateral Keel Deflection

Imagine yourself on a beam reach in 20 knots as the inflection grows from 2” to “the seabed”, and run faster! (Or if, this being the irrational act of boat acquisition, you just have to have this particular boat, get a really good price that more than (5x?) accommodates the hassle, risk and...

    sink exhaust hose advice

This one should be easy but living rurally with no suppliers locally finding sourcing the right part a bit of a challenge. I need to replace the exhaust hose for our kitchen sinks on our '91 30T. Epoxycop Bottom Paint - Maximum time before boat MUST be put in water?

Thxs jssailem, but immersion tells me how quickly I can launch it. My problem is the opposite. I need to know how long I can wait before launching. On the can this is measured in days, but I can't read the numbers.

Epoxycop Bottom Paint - Maximum time before boat MUST be put in water?

And/Or... Thoughts on how long it must stay immersed once launched before I can pull it out to keep working on it? Thinking maybe covering the bottom with rags and keeping them wet with a soaker hose (the hull is inverted, hanging from the rafters in my carport) would work?

Epoxycop Bottom Paint - Maximum time before boat MUST be put in water?

I've got a 1/2 a can of Interlux Nautical Epoxycop bottom paint. The table on the can that outlines drying, coating and launch times has a drip of paint obscuring the column with "Maximum days before launch", and the only data sheet I can find online lacks this info. too...
