    Oil Change Frequency

I rarely have more than 50 hours on my oil due to the sailing season length. Right now there's only around 5 hours on the motor since the last oil change. But that change was at the end of last season. The oil is still golden, slightly tinted. We'll be off to Block Island in a few weeks and...

    New Forums: Questions, Suggestions, Comments

Phil, I used to filter for recents and if a post wasn't pertinent to my interests or I couldn't be helpful I could "mark post as read". I don't see a way to do that now in the PC version.

Help! My dog won't do her duty while on board. Need suggestions please.

BTW it's a small breed Shorkie I think, and it was a "boot mat" that was used.

@Ilanortho my nieces' pup won't go on anything but grass also. So we got a 12" x 20" tray and strapped it over the anchor locker door. Cut some "sod" from the back yard and no problem. Lasts about a week but you need to put fresh water on it.

@jviss I just ignore the morons and you can too. It's only a button push away. Then you don't see any of their comments and your world becomes a nicer place. There's a few people I can't see and I know I'm not missing a thing. Have a nicer day. BTW, I agree that if you don't have something...

going over hull speed h41 regatta

There is actually no limitation to hull speed. Just add excessive horse power until it becomes a planing vessel. :p

going over hull speed h41 regatta

Yes. If it's a 3 blade fixed it's probably near 1.5 knot loss. I had one.

    Removing Deck Dinning Table

That's not just a table, it's a hand hold and a foot rest, both very handy on a heel. But after all it's your boat.

Whisker pole length for Hunter 41

I left a detailed message on the other thread as to the length of my whisker pole. 14' fixed. This allows for uncontested use in a race and is a proper size for my 110 jib.

You don't use a pole for an Asym.

Whisker pole length for Hunter 41

I have a fixed whisker pole as I use an Asym Spin. I have a 110 jib, my sail maker told me that according to PHRF rules your whisker pole can not be longer than your LP, which is 14.3 so I had a carbon fiber one piece pole made which is 14'. It allows me to use it in regattas and any other day...
