    Low Profile mattress

Man, my bunk is so hard. I'm a big guy and I'm actually getting bruises on my hips from hips from side sleeping. It's a rear cabin with reduced height. I tried an air mattress, but it used too much space such that it was hard to roll over at night. I'm currently using a backpackers air...

Paint looks horrible - contour sanding to look good?

I was cleaning a new spray gun from manufacturer oils today with surface prep cleaner and decided to use it for wiping down the surface. Surprise! Nice thin reflective layer.

Paint looks horrible - contour sanding to look good?

Yeah, I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but I did dramatically improve the patches and things are looking much better. No silver bullet here, but just an attention to detail. It's definitely an art form, but also the realization that every defect will be amplified during painting.

Paint looks horrible - contour sanding to look good?

I'm using a 2-part epoxy primer that is building, so I was hoping that it would smooth out the rough edges. That was wishful thinking as it seems to really highlight my prep and sanding flaws. Even filling pin holes requires some mechanical brushing or similar. Overall, not a total fail...

Source for Stainless U-Nut, Spring-Nut, Clip-Nut and screws

Ah, not there. I guess I could buy plain steel which would be worth a few years. btw, I lived in Gig Harbor for a few years. I run on sunshine, so on my third year, we had a summer without a summer. I moved to Florida.

All over my Beneteau are screws ripped out from a fiberglass edge. A U-Nut would be perfect (see picture), but I can't seem to find a stainless version. Any leads?

Eno Stove Burner - bad mixture.

My propane eno stove burner has a spot throwing a yellow flame. It stinks and gives me a headache. First, is there anywhere to buy the part below? Seconds, as it's only one spot, I figured something is plugged, but I don't see blockages. However, it looks like the surface where the...

Here's the part I ordered: https://www.zoro.com/zoro-select-brass-45-degrees-street-elbow-mnpt-x-fnpt-1-12-pipe-size-22ul63/i/G5683772/ I bought the rest on Defender.com but they didn't have a 45 degree elbow. I'm really hoping to call this done tomorrow.

How to remove 2 1/2 retaining nut?

I ground out my thru Hull and it was really in there. I was impressed at how well it sealed and adhered to the hull. In hindsight, I should have just added more sealant to what was a minor gap, but peace of mind is priceless.
