    Trying out my new GoPro

Thinkin bout it. I've watched and enjoyed a lot of sailing videos, and enjoyed most. Specially those done with the GoPro camera. All are appreciated except those with the wind noise. I gotta shut em down, it's real annoying. Thinking about trying to do some of my own. Everyone who does it...

Can answer questions about Tattoo Yachts

It all depends on your point of view on the cost of sailing. Here's mine. Ten to twenty percent down. Finance for 15 years at 6 percent (standard boat loan) and your sailing for under 300 bucks a month. At todays prices that hardly covers dockage fees. I assume you'll be keeping your baby...

    New Tattoo forum

I hope to be an owner, late spring or early summer 2014. I'll be 78 years old, but Hell! What's the option? Sit around watching the grass grow or get out on the beautifull South Florida water. It's been many years since I've been out sailing. As I think back, these were My most pleasant and fun...

Swimming an Instant Cure for Seasickness ?

It may work for some. Not my daughter. Even when snorkling the reef we would be amazed as she was always surrounded by schools of fish. Chumming underwater.

In the Dark! I check out this site at least on a weekly basis. Sometimes more often, and when I get an email from the site. Now I just finished reading every entry on the above site and can't recall it ever being mentioned here before. I have added the macgregorsailors forum to my...

Tattoo, schmattoo! What the Heck! I can't believe noone else has any questions about this. Is it a Mac or not? Sure as heck looks like the 26M. These are Roger Macgregors children, are they not. Is the California plant shutting down never to make the Mac 26m anymore? Dazed, confused...

    Old Movies

Had to reformat my drive,(of course, before I had a chance to backup my data). I lost all my Macgregor videos. I have the CD for the "M", but the videos of the 26X and the older models have gone the way of the "Dodo". Can anyone help me find and download these old Classics? Bill

    26X video

I've been following the thread about the Macgregor 26 Videos. I need a link to the 26X video. My copy of the VHS tape was eaten by my ancient VHS player. I know it's not Kosher to copy something the company is selling but, They have moved onto the 26M on DVD. Is there a way to get this video to...

    Cange the Mast?

The mast system on the 26M seems like the way to go. But I really like the layout of the 26X better. Can the X be fitted with the 26M's mast system and would this make the boat unstable and the cost Prohibitive?

    I lost it!

Many moons ago I downloaded the Mac 26D or was it the Mac 26S video. I had to reformat my hard drive recently and it was one of many things I forgot to backup. I've been searching the net but can't seem to find the file anymore. Can anybody help me with the site or location to redownload this file.

    Wind Speed

Reef, Reef, Reef! After many Decades of sailing South Florida, especially Biscayne Bay, Reefing is the secret. Although I sometimes like sailing the boat on it's sides and listening to the center board cable humming, some of my guests don't appreciate it. Many years ago sailing time was limited...

is the mac26M a bluewater boat?

Puzzled! Dana: I read the artical on hull to deck joints you referenced. Makes sense! But doesn't MacGregor (at least the 26X and M series)bolt its deck and hull together? At least thats what the Mac construction video shows. If this is what signifies an acceptable deck joint for a blue water...

    lectresan head.

Sounds Interesting Nightsailor, I'm coming to like the idea of a holding tank with a pump out station. Could you possibly post a picture or drawing of how this would look and how it was done. Yours in poopie patter, Bill
