Lay a shade cloth over the boom and good protection from the harsh summer rays. Nowadays we have a blue Tailor Made sun umbrella (to match the sail covers, etc.) that has 4 stays to secure to the stanchions. Cheaper than a bimini and comes down completely.

Nothing like laying up in a small cove on the lake and jumping over the side. Fire up the grill for lunch and have some fun.

The custom vinyl tiling over the companionway step. Non-slip but added some anti-skid tape on the leading edge just in case.

The new laminate vinyl floor. Faux treak tiles laid along the floor and under the dinette table. Also laid onto the companionway step. Looks very chic.

Our Coleman Grill sitting on th enew cockpit table. Very handy for cooking up lunch, or laying out the rums.

The cockpit table built out of a piece of utility shelving and mounted on a marine grill stand that screws into the basse fitting for easy mounting and removal. Great for cooking on then as a cocktail table. It all fits down below in our new custome shelves.

Chief Bosun's Mate, lounging around. Seems to be a common trait for this scurvy crew !!

The C-22 trailers very well, albeit a bit heavier on gas consumption. A couple of well positioned tie downs, and lots of bungies, is all we need. The trailer also has the standard tongue extension so launching off a ramp is easy.

Raising the mast is now a breeze, after we adapted the MacGregor 26 mast raising system. Really this can be a single-handed task now, but help from the XO is always appreciated !!

The interesting use of the bow stem reinforcing kit to secure the anchor rhode. After replacing the bow eye block, bow eye, and all for'ard fittings that will all be tidied up for sure...

After stripping (much hard work) the wood was more uniform and ready to coat with Teka. That wonderful 2-part solution really brought the muck out of teh grains and presented a beautiful surface and look.

The old bow stem fitting. The original piece from Catalina was made of wood and had a single eye bolt for the trailer eye. The Stem Reinforcement kit had actually been used to secure the anchor rhode. That all was about to change (for the better !!)...
