Das sind Teakleisten, die aufgeklebt, dann mit Schwarzer Masse ausgegossen und geschliffen wurden. Sieht immer noch aus wie neu.....

The project took just over 1/2 sheet of plywood. The assembly is not anchored to the trailer in any way, but cut so that it could be angled in and wedged into place.

The keel to inside notch contact surface is a piece of plastic cut from a 55 gallon drum. This allows the keel to be off center but guided into place with minimal friction. Time will tell how durable it is, but there is a lot of plastic in one drum.

Front view of notch and guide line. Bunks were 2x4 and replaced with 2x6, and shortened to reach no further forward than front upright. Note where lines are drawn together; this would work better if there was separation so that the centerline of the hull was captured.

The lifting assembly in its stowed state. The rig is made from an RV awning support assembly. It telescopes and folds into a compact package.

I through bolted these eyes for mast raising stabilizing cables, and plan to employ them in a main and jib halyard guide system.

The tubing along the mast is for holding the lifting saddle in place; it does not support any lifting force. Note stabilizing cables. These do not get particularly taught during rasing, and aren't necessary if doing this on level ground. I installed them for additional safety on land, and a necessity when on the water.

The lifting assembly in place. The lifting line runs from the mast, over the gin pole, to a pulley in the anchor locker, and to the mast winch with four turns. DO NOT USE NYLON LINE. This does stress the mast winch so it must be in good order (mounting hardware especially).

DSCN8423 The materials used are stock from an RV awning assembly I salvaged, and the roller rig is a standard bow roller and bracket. Brass pulleys help lift and a small cleat keeps it in place, though it can be pinned in place as well. Rests on pintles.

DSCN8407 Winch cover. Notice fouled anchor embroidery. I picked up a bunch of this patterned Sunbrella at Old Time Pottery from which I've made the sail cover, winch covers, and mast covers (two piece upper and lower), and plan to make a "boom tent" next.

Boat cover 001 This is Cordura nylon. I purchased a 12x24 tarp and cut it to shape, and used over a kilometer of thread designed for Sunbrella sewn with a really cheap Brother sewing machine using #18 needles.

Interior5 Interior pieces prior to paint. Notice long strips along the V-berth section. Instead of placing the new section over the 2" section left behind, I scabbed these pieces underneath cut the new section to fall into place.
