Zincs for Yanmar GM20F

I have a 91 Hunter 30T with a Yanmar GM20F engine. The manual says it has two zincs and I ordered one. I cant for the life of me find where it goes? anyone know?

If it's an "F"...

for freshwater then there aren't any zincs. I think they only put those on the 2Gm20.

Hi Ed, almost without exception, none of ...

the captured water cooled (closed fresh water) Yanmar engines use a pencil zinc. However, the heat exchanger on our Onan 8kw Cummins uses a pencil zinc even though it is a captured system. I know this because I just replaced it, or at least what was left of it.Terry

New engines

The newer yanmars aren't made up of the same dissimilar metals that they originally were, so there probably aren't any zincs on the engine. You can call Mack Borning or Yanmar with your engine serial number and they should be able to confirm that.
