I tracked down the manufacturer for my compass -- use the net or ready reference at a library if a number is not on it. They cleaned it up, replaced fluid, put in a new light for about $100.

Less expensive option

If you check the archives, you'll find detailed instructions on how to drain the fluid & replace it with mineral oil. Flitz or 3M Metal Restorer will shine up the jewel nicely. LaDonna
