I looked at a 2000 Catalina 270 with very low hours (<75)on the Yanmar 2GM20F. The boat has not been used much and has not been in the water for a few seasons. The Yanmar showed areas of chipping/cracking on tubes & belts, plus rust. Does lack of use cause potential engine issues? I'm thinking low hours in this case could mean potential problems. Any advice? Thanks.

Sounds like normal things that happen, especially in the marine environment, when stuff is not used. I would not worry about it.
