Yanmar 3YM 30 SWP aftermarket rebuild

Any owners out the who have rebuilt the Yanmar/Johnson SWP with after market bearings and seals, and would like to share their knowledge? Would I be correct to assume the bearings are deep groove stainless? Would a Viton seal or double lip have advantages?

Can answer my own post ha ha. Bearings are rubber sealed steel and cheap, high quality bearings are easy to get off the shelf. $22 Au each The lip seal is rubber encased. After market seal $5 Au with the steel spring replaced with an o ring at the shop.
