What's under the Cockpit Slider Cover?

I keep trying to find the culprit in a leaking starboard window. I have a new possible culprit: What is under the raised cabintop add-on piece of deck that the cockpit hatch slides underneath? Is the underlying deck -- that has the extra piece screwed on top -- solid all the way across? Is anything under there at all? Is the deck solid all the way across with that extra part screwed on top? Or is there another separate piece in between the inner headliner and the deck? I'm trying to describe the part of the deck behind the mast in the attached image, where the two teak trim "rails" stick out. If the underlying cabintop is not actually a solid piece all the way across, that could be a source of the leak. If I took that cover off, what would I find underneath?

Old question, but here you go. It's called a sea hood. There is just deck underneath it, just like what's not underneath it.
