I ran a thread on the "other sailors opinion" to try and get a concensus on the most dependable, longest lasting, easiest to maintain and cheapest permanently mounted reverse AC system for a 1988 Cat. 30. In talking to many the carry on 7,000 btu units do not cool off the cabin in summer as good as the permanently installed units. These southern summers in Atlanta are brutal and I personnally feel it would take 12K to 16K btus to do the job. My install would be under the dinnette seat. I have the "U" shaped dinnette and have that extra storage space along the bulkhead. Perfect spot for the system, drainage into the bilge and all hookups. Please chime in and let me know from your experiences what system(s) fit the bill. Thank You Bob Atlanta
