Currently boatless - Eastern Seaboard
Busy. I just got back from New York last night, now safe from snow here in Florida. And I just got back from grocery shopping. Here is a random pic from the book I'm working on. It was taken of a river cruise ship passing Isle of Hope Marina just outside of Savannah.

This is a pic of the Tugboat my daughter drives out of Seattle, she was at the helm when the picture was taken. Looks like the weather has been nicer on the left coast, probably not for long though..

I took my second Adobe Lightroom class (weekend class), at local Maine Media college and workshops. It's a cool program. I think I posted this one but I did some work on the original image. Lightroom stores the images in the original RAW files so you can always go back to the original after you make adjustments.

I'm sick of looking at snow. This was taken at 6:50 in the afternoon on August 30, 2017, anchored off Vinalhaven Island in Seal Cove.

:plus: for Lightroom, really makes it easy to get rid of the ones that aren't worth keeping and then clean up the good ones.

Beating home from South Bass Island to Sandusky in western Lake Erie. It is surprising how many sailors choose to motor rather than throw in a reef and sail through this; I think there was just one other boat sailing.

Meanwhile, on the Saint Lawrence, getting passed by a whale bigger than the 33' boat I was aboard.

This is a picture taken from my mother's photo album of Clark Mills on his Marineways tugboat, the Donald L. Haiser. That is a Suncat (Compac 16) hull he built it from. He used it to push boats around the Marineways.

this Summer.
All the Rougarou and I need is to get the CB back in and stick the Bow Numbers on her and we are going sailing.
ALL THE REST OF THE STUFF can wait until after that first sail this Spring.

We went sailing TODAY!!! The Admiral and I made it down to the boat to do a bit of work on her forward hatch. Today, I started the engine and the Admiral was looking at the toerails which need work. But the dew was still on the wood and she says "Let's take the boat out." So we motored out to the bay, shook out the genny and shutdown the motor. Because we had places to go this afternoon, we had a very short sail. This was perfect because the skies started lowering once we were docked again and shortly afterward it started raining. But I didn't take any pictures so I guess it only happened in our minds.
