I got a notification from a electronics vendor that I deal with a notification of a GPS issue that might affect some legacy products not only in marine but in other areas of our electronic world.....It is essentially a limitation in the week # field that could affect older units.

Tom Y, this will likely affect your old GPSMAP182......

Thanks, Nat. I'll start looking, more seriously,...for a replacement. Something the same size or smaller, that will fit the in the space.

The nice thing is, I can probably replace it with color, charts included, for what I paid just for the Maine chart chip to go with the 182 in 2000.

It was worth waiting.
