Topping Lift On Capri 22

While single handing I heard a ping and then realized the connection of the topping lift to the boom end had broken. Then I realized I had never paid attention to the connection and I had no idea how or where the lift was attached to the boom end. Anyone know? Got a picture of your boom end you can send? Thanks in advance.

Take a photo of the end of the boom and post here. You may want to call Catalina in Florida located at 7200 Bryan Dairy Road to see if they will send a photo. Suggest looking at Catalina Direct (not owned by Catalina Yachts) or the Capri 22 National Association to see if they have a photo. Is your the kind attached to the backstay and if so suggest adding a separate topping lift form the top of the mast to the end of the boom. There are ways to attach to the end of the boom.
