My version of that is, “If it seems like a bad idea it probably is.”
If at first you don't succeed..... give up and find something easier to do.
I've had that voice in my head for years but the older I get, the more I listen to it.
I remember the first time I *should* have listened to that voice. The instant I placed my foot on the round metal handrail I knew it was a bad idea. It wasn’t until I slipped and broke a rib that I learned my lesson. Turns out that lesson has saved me several times since then. It for sure saved a horrific lawn mower injury and probably saved my life at least once.
Not to worry. By the time you're in your 70's you'll have forgotten that!
Forgotten or choose to ignore? By then Time is short anyway... Besides the voice may be wrong...
Your hearing will be starting to go too so you wouldn't hear yourself!
