Stern rail diameter

Hello all,

I am looking to order stainless tubing to build a solar arch on my 1984 Hunter 31.

Does anyone know off hand the diameter of the stern rail? My boat isn’t close enough to go and measure it.

Also, while on the topic, has anyone built something like this? I would love to see what others have done and hear any considerations I should be thinking about.

Basically, I want to mount 2x 120W panels aft of the Bimini (and likely above) so they don’t interfere with anything.

Stern rail on my 34 is exactly 1". Yours is likely the same.

Thanks! I couldn’t remember if it was 7/8” or 1”.
