Thanks Kermit, it was a lot of fun. I thought the best part was the guy trying to fish by the platform that's the first mark and all the racers went between his boat and the platform.

All of the photographs are great but this is the one that captures it all. I learned to refer to it as “the decisive moment.” You might want to keep that in mind for the next SBO photo contest. Seriously.

I always found tacking around the giraffe to be fun I've gotten involved in a few races between a couple other boats going from the edge of the channel to the giraffe and jibing (usually) back toward the causeway bridge!

Check out the music in the video I just posted on the racing forum. Epica, Dark Moor, and Two Steps from Hell. Actually, just a couple weeks ago, I had no idea who any of these groups were.
