Squeaky wheel

Our 1992 Legend 37.5 has an annoying squeaky noise coming from inside the Edson pedestal when sailing in light air and at the dock when the wheel reaches the end of its travel in either direction. We lubed the bearings and oiled the chain but the squeak is still there. Edson was not much help. Has anyone had this problem and were you able to solve it? Thanks, Alice

Don't know about your boat but on mine there are two grease fittings in the Edson pedestal. One near the top and one near the bottom. My wheel squeaked until I added grease in both fittings.

How do you access the bottom grease fitting and where is it exactly?

our boats are probably different. I access mine through the center console/pedestal. Not east to reach to the bottom to get to it.
