Solar Panel Location

Any suggestions on where to locate a solar panel other than off of the stern?

I've seen a few with the panel on the sliding hatch. Then a few on the forward deck. Where the forward hatch is located on the early models.

How big a panel do you have in mind, Bill? Other than on the sliding hatch or the forward hatch, there aren't really many (any?) options. And those two locations are so frequently shaded by sails that they aren't ideal - or such is my understanding, at least.

I can't remember ... do you not have a stern pulpit?

On a sailboat the stern is the place because it is not in the shade unless you have really big crew members or have just been dis-masted. Constant sunlight is needed for proper care and feeding so anywhere else seriously reduces operation.
