I picked a 1980 Sirius 21 from a widower, who didn't have a ton of history on the boat. It was my first time owning a boat over 15 feet. I thought I could find a reasonable slip/mooring nearby but that hasn't worked. Many in this forum sound like they've had really great experiences with theirs, see info over in classifieds.

I own the same boat for a year. I sail in during the winter in Long Island. I found it to be a great, responsive boat. I previously sailed a 21' oday and found the sirius to sail and handle significantly better. I too kept it in a slip. I only had to launch it and pull it once, but neither was an enjoyable experience. That may be more due to the owner's (me) deficiencies than the boats. Good Luck
