Screeching noise from Bow Thruster

I have had a number of issues with Lewmar 140TT bow thruster on my 41DS. Thruster worked perfectly before having boat hauled for bottom job. After hauling, thruster worked, but had electrical issue remedied by replacement "T" type fuse. Then had to replace shear pin which fell out of shaft. Checked movement of thruster shaft in transmission when motor was removed, everything seems normal.
Now thurster operates, but makes terible loud screeching sound when operated. Always made noice when operated, but nothing like this. Have not been able to operate motor when not attached to transmission, which I would like to do. I think it might be a motor bearing, anyone have any ideas?

Could very well be the motor brushes which tend to either get dirty with dust or actually build up a very smooth gloss which tends to squeel sounding very much like a bearing.
