Rub Rails 423

Hello all,

I hear that rub rails were an option out of the factory..... My new to me boat does not have and want to find out what others have; factory installed or after market? Want this to be one of my winter projects.

I looked at the factory option (typically installed by the dealer) and found it unsatisfactory. Here is what I did for my rub rail:

Gunni thanks! How did he attach it to the hull? through bolts which might be hard based on interior uniformed access?

Screws. Just long enough to reach the hull interior. The rail is adhered with 3M 5200, the screws just held it until the 5200 could cure. Trying to thru bolt the rail would be difficult. Place it high on the hull need the deck joint as shown, strongest part of the topside and at max beam.
